Loopa Al Etihad

LOOPA is a meditation on continuity.

Rooted in the ancient ritual of burning bukhoor, LOOPA reimagines the traditional madkhan through a contemporary lens, where material, form, and function move in an endless rhythm. Inspired by the loop, a form deeply embedded in regional culture, the design speaks of unity, connection, and the enduring bonds that bring people together.

For this special edition, LOOPA AL ETIHAD draws inspiration from the colours of the UAE flag, honouring the spirit of unity that defines the nation. Its bands become more than an expression of form; they represent the coming together of seven emirates, distinct in character yet united in purpose. A tribute to the values of togetherness, belonging, and shared heritage that continue to shape the UAE.

Carved from upcycled stone, each cylindrical pillar stands as a quiet monument to permanence and earth. The stone forms are bound together by eco silicon leather loops, meticulously wrapped to create a balance of structure and softness. Echoing traditional weaving techniques once practised across the region using palm fronds and natural fibres, the design brings heritage into dialogue with contemporary materials and responsible craftsmanship.

LOOPA AL ETIHAD is more than a bukhoor burner.

It is a celebration of unity through design.
